CA-430 MM/MC Phono Preamplifier

The CA-430 employs an advanced circuitry and high quality components to provide the extra gain stage and RIAA equalization
circuitry that are required for highly accurate and low-noise reproduction of the low level output of a phonograph cartridge.
It also features an external power supply to avoid undesirable electro-magnetic interference with the line stage.
The CA-430 also offers input for both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges. The Moving Coil input impedance is user adjustable
with impedance load of 100, 150, 200, 300, 400 and 600 ohms.

The power supply utilizing three selected vacuum tubes (1 x 5Y3, 1 x 6V6 and 1 x 6SL7) incorporated with a newly
design circuit. The oversize power transformer is custom wound and double chokes are also used.
The tube line stage utilizing four 12AX7 vacuum tubes. Circuit highlights include the use of a
total of eight pieces Hovland MusiCaps®. Swiss made ELMA rotary switches are being used as the input selector for
MM / MC as well as the selector for six user adjustable MC input impedance loads.
